Lauryn Hill
Lauryn Noelle Hill is an African American singer songwriter, record producer and actress. As a producer singer-songwriter and a rapper she first became popular during her time with the hip-hop trio the Fugees,  but her short lived impactful solo career made her known as one of the most impactful music geniuses of all time.
Born Lauryn Noah Hill, Hill was born on May 26, 1975 in East Orange New Jersey. At a very young age she began performing in theatres example Harlem Apollo Theatre by the age of 13 soon after she created a band with two other friends later on known as the Fugees. Instead of following her dreams she enrolled to Columbia University in 1993 she studied there for just about year before following her dreams of being an influential artist. The  Fugees released their first debut album “blunted on reality” 1994, The reviews and the selling of this album was not too great, but later on in 1996 they would release their second album called “The Score”  which became a huge success and one of the well-known Hip Hop albums from the 90s.
Lauryn Hill's first solo project the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 1998 made her known name around America and globally. The album was recorded in Jamaica and also sold 19 million copies worldwide. This album was awarded many Grammys 3 American music awards, Billboard awards, soul train awards and the MTV music awards. Entertainment weekly wrote that:” Hill has made an album of often astonishing power, strength and feeling”. But unfortunately at the end of 1998 Hill feud  against new ark who worked on the album with her for failing to give him credit in the album. After a while Lauryn disappeared from the limelight as she said Essence, “for a period of time I had to step away entirely.”
After a long 3 year wait for Lauryn she came back in 2002 with a mtv unplugged 2.0, which reviews and the majority of her fans didn't seem to enjoy her new approach and the lack of rapping. Village voice had written that, “Probably not the worst album ever released by an artist of substance… but in the running,” was the judgement of the Village Voice.


Outside of her Lauryn Hill is a motivational Activist she is included herself in any organisation that are dedicated to underprivileged up and use one of them are called refugee camp youth project. John Legend he played the piano for one of the songs in her debut album which was Everything is everything is explained And sums up Hill  beautiful but short lived: : “Lauryn had that blend of toughness and soulfulness, melody and swagger. She did it better than anybody still has done it. People are still trying to capture that moment.”
