EXTERNAL GIG

                                                         EXTERNAL GIG
The content of the performance was old school reggae, Soca, and calypso, it was in Lloyds Park in Walthamstow.  the performers began with the songs running from Jamaica by the meditations, and Warriors by Gregory Isaacs. After they began performing old school calypso, and  Soca music such as Colombia rock, Soca train,  and Don't try that by Crazy. they seemed extremely confident and comfortable in their environment, allowing them to enjoy themselves by dancing with the audience and improvising with the instruments. The performers were certainly good at engaging with  the audience, for example they would ask question such as ' is everyone having fun', and 'if you are enjoying yourself put you hands up in the air'. They would also bring people onto the stage and dance with them at times even have dance battles. The performance that stood out for me was the 2nd from last performance, which was a song called natty dread by Bob Marely. The reason why this performance stood out to me the most was, because the guitarist for the band did a solo performance for a minute and it was absolutely beautiful. The way he improvised using just basic scales and using techniques such hammering, plucking, and pinch harmonics it was amazing to watch. Overall I think the concert was amazing it was fun, energetic, and memorable I would love to watch it again.
