WINTER GIG EVALUATION

                                                          Winter Gig Evaluation

The Winter gig had two section, the beginning started with the Year 1 level 2 music performers presenting all the songs that they had been performing in their class bands. In our section of the gig the songs that we performed were either the songs that we had created in our signwriting classes, or songs that we had been learning throughout the term. The names of the songs that we performed are: Hounds of Love (Kate Bush), Running up the hill (Kate Bush), Teardrop (Massive attack), Superstitious ( Stevie Wonder), and  Feeling good (James Brown).

In our groups we were given songs to perform but to also completely change from the original, so we performed certain songs more than once. The first level 2 music performers were very confident, and were able to interact with the audience extremely well. They interacted with the audience by introducing themselves, and what they were going to perform. During their performance they also influenced the audience to clap along while they performed.  I believe that none of the performers in the level3 music class were able to interact as well as the level 2 it could've been improved.

I believe that we were able to keep the audience interested and entertained, but our performance could've been bettered.  The moments that stood out for me the most were the level 2 beginning performance singing Happy (Pharrell Williams), and so sick (Ne-yo). The reason why these 2 performances stood out for me the most, was because they were able to uplift and motivate the audience to clap and sing along with them. I believe that the overall show was decent but it could be improved if students had more confidents and were more organised it could've been better.
